Protecting Our Children's Innocence
Representative Anne Dauphinais has become a national voice for parents concerned about inappropriate content in school libraries. When she read excerpts from books found in elementary school libraries on the House floor, she was silenced - yet these same books remain available to our children.
"I stand here to share with the chamber the books that are available in our public school libraries to the very children you're telling me that this language isn't appropriate in this chamber. This is in elementary school libraries."
Anne believes that if language is deemed too inappropriate for the legislative chamber, it should certainly be considered too inappropriate for our children's libraries. She's fighting for common-sense policies that protect children while ensuring parents have a voice in what their children are exposed to.
Fighting for common sense policies that protect our children, families and Parental Rights.
Anne Dauphinais is committed to ensuring that parents - not government officials - have the final say in their children's education and the materials they're exposed to. She believes in age-appropriate content and transparent policies that respect family values.
